"look for trends"....very good observation to make Amanda, and one we'd like to begin to put compile and connect as there does seem to be some shared trends....and bonds created with the families whose kids share them. A research doctor did tell me that they are doing some studies on the different immune responses seen in FPIES- how some kids respond to the elimination diet and others do not as well (my Sam). Thank you for sharing your story...and your connected observations!
That is awesome! I think this year, since B is only 18 months old, we will just go to our relatives houses and I will have some pre-made bags for them to give her. And, once we get home, she will likely go to bed (bedtime is 7pm for her!!) and then I will take my 3yr old son out around the neighborhood. Great article Amanda!! =)
Here's the "short" version :) We're EBF here, so Matthew had nothing but "Mommy's Milk" until he was six months. He had textbook FPIES reactions to his first two foods (rice and peas). I took him to the doctor after the second rice...
