This is great! I've heard of the homemade oral rehyration but have not tried it myself yet. We should have one in back up already though, because our son has reacted to regular Pedialyte.

I have seen this recipe too, but haven't tried it. I am glad to have it in my back pocket for future reactions because I never seem to have pedialyte when I need it.

Awesome Did I see someone post once that some types of baking soda have a trigger in them? Or maybe it was baking powder? Am I totally crazy?

Baking powder can have corn in it, but I think baking soda should be safe. Do you have to cook this recipe at all or just mix it all together and serve?

No cooking is involved; just stir and serve! I don't even buy Pedialyte anymore.
