Ok, so she isn't much of a baby anymore! I should say "Big Girl" B!

Hi! My name is Amanda and I am the proud mama to my beautiful girl, B. She is now 2.5 years old and other than being a wild, creative, spirited toddler, she also has FPIES to about 25 known triggers at this point. She does have 20 safe foods, though, so we keep plugging along! She started showing signs that something was very wrong as a newborn but we didn't really figure out WHAT was wrong until her first rice cereal reaction. Because of our limitations (or in spite of them), I have created a recipe blog (see the link below!) to share all of our cooking endeavors with other families struggling to create creative ways of feeding their children with limited menus. On the blog you will find recipes, day to day coping with FPIES, breastfeeding information (I just weaned B last week!), and stories of our life as a former military family overseas (have been civilian and stateside for just over a year now!)

Our journey started out rather dark but we have found brighter days by connecting with other FPIES families and learning creative ways to break outside of the box that FPIES often puts us into. If something isn't safe for B, we find a way (if possible) to find a safe version and if it doesn't exist we make our own! I am so happy to be connecting with all of you through such an amazing venue! FPIES has been a rough journey, as you all know, but I must say that we have always found ourselves in good company!
